Cliptic ("the app", "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what data is processed when you use the app. Cliptic is fundamentally an on-device video editor; your videos and projects stay on your phone.

1. Data that stays on your device

Your videos, photos, projects and edits are stored on your device and are not sent to our servers. Videos you export are saved to your own photo library.

2. Cloud captions (optional)

When you use the "AI Captions" feature, only the audio track of that video is sent to our server (cliptic.hatayweb.com) and from there to the transcription provider OpenAI Whisper API. The audio is processed solely to produce text; it is not stored permanently and is not used for advertising or marketing. If you do not use this feature, no audio data is sent.

3. Advertising

The free version may show ads. Ad networks (e.g. Google AdMob and other providers we select) may process information such as your device advertising identifier under their own privacy policies. On iOS you may be asked for tracking permission, which you can decline.

4. Feedback

If you send us feedback from within the app, your message and (if provided) your email address reach us and are used only to review your request.

5. No account

You do not need an account to use Cliptic; we do not collect personal information such as your name, phone number or location.

6. Children's privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
